Moto E (Gen 2) Leaked Online, To Come With Snapdragon 410 Chip
Motorola has had a great run in India (or shall we say, a second run) so far, thanks to its star devices Moto E and Moto G. Motorola has already offered a refresh of the Moto G in the form of Moto G (Gen 2) and if you had your eyes out for the Moto E, there is some interesting bit of news for you.
A new mystery Motorola device has been spotted at Geekbench, which is a cross-platform processor benchmark. The device is labelled "TBD" and is perhaps the Moto E (Gen 2). As per the site, the Moto E (Gen 2) will pack in a 64-bit processor.
As per the benchmark site, the other specifications that this smartphone will pack include 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat. However, we all know that Motorola devices are amongst the first to get an update to the Android OS, so we won't be surprised if at the time of the launch, this one offers Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The processor that is powering the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8916) 410 chipset clocked at 1.19GHz. Considering that it is a Moto E successor, we are expecting that the company will be aiming at keeping it affordable. The Moto E device that is currently on sale is priced at Rs 6,999 and we are hoping that the refresh model too will be around the same price point.
As of now, it does not seem that the second generation of Moto E will be making its debut in this year but we can't really be sure of that.
