Xiaomi Redmi Note To Go On Sale In India Soon
Nirmal SinghIt seems like Xiaomi is all set to get the Redmi Note device in India. This bit of news has been shared by none other than company's global operations head Hugo Barra on Thursday through hisFacebook profile. Xiaomi had already shared at the time of the MI 3 launch that the Redmi Note will be priced at Rs 9,999.
Xiaomi had introduced Redmi Note smartphone earlier this year. It features a 5.5-inch 1280x720p HD display. The smartphone is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor along with 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.3 with MIUI v5. Xiaomi has already shared that it will be rolling out an update to MIUI v6 for Redmi Note but the same to will be coming in sometime next year.
It is noteworthy that Xiaomi is also working on Rs 4,000 smartphone. As of now, there is no confirmation regarding what the device by Xiaomi would be called. However, the report adds that Xiaomi will be using the new Lead-core chipset for this budget offering. As far as the specifications go, the Xiaomi's ultra low-cost smartphone will pack in 720p display screen, 1 GB of RAM, and would also offer LTE support.
There have also been news reports that have suggested that Xiaomi wants to make a dirt-cheap Go Pro like action camera.
